It happened to all of us, experiencing disorientation, distraction and despair as an Agile coach or Scrum master. But, of course, not all disruptions are destabilizing. Sometimes the way forward is clear, and we can recover easily and move on quickly, but when the way forward is less clear, we can feel lost or unsettled. This can compound feelings of uncertainty, disorientation and fear.

Feeling stuck, lost, or disorientation is not a comfortable state for our mind because it can result in intense, incendiary emotions. Making up our minds and getting back on track in this situation is difficult because we are in an emotional loop, and more disorientation will cause more fear, and it will cause more disorientation …

In this situation, Talking with another coach will be very helpful to make up your mind and make a better decision for the next step, but sometimes we don’t have access to another coach. So, I have found a great tool that has helped me in similar situations, and I think it can help you too.

So, this tool is a simple canvas that will help you to focus on the right questions. We have been trained to view a swift move from problem to solution, but with this canvas, we will explore more options, particularly those that haven’t been in our sight.

Feel free to share your experience with the feeling of disorientation and your specific method.
